Mjällby AIF hosted GAIS at their home ground Strandvallen A-plan on a sunny Sunday afternoon in May, in front of a crowd of 1,462 spectators. Referee Granit Maqedonci officiated the match alongside his assistant referees Besim Boletini and Ajdin Mlivic.

In the 28th minute, GAIS made their first substitution when Aiden Connor Harvey came onto the field, replacing Niklas Andersen. Just a few minutes later, in the 31st minute, Mjällby AIF kickstarted the scoring with Jacob Bergström, assisted by Viktor Gustafson.

In the 36th minute, GAIS's Evaldo Nascimento Lamaur Neto received a yellow card, and shortly after, in the 39th minute, they made their second substitution as Niklas Olsson entered the match, replacing Emil Ek Wahlström. Just before halftime, in the 45th minute, Mjällby AIF made their first substitution with Pavle Vagic coming on for Gisli Eyjólfsson.

After halftime, both teams continued to battle on the pitch, and in the 70th minute, GAIS's Niklas Olsson received a yellow card. Shortly thereafter, in the 71st minute, Mjällby AIF's Joel Nilsson was also shown a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Pavle Vagic successfully converted a penalty, extending Mjällby AIF's lead to 2-0. GAIS responded by making their third substitution as Milos Andelkovic came on for Rasmus Rosenqvist.

Mjällby AIF took advantage of the time by making two more substitutions, with Felix Konstandeliasz coming on for Joel Nilsson in the 82nd minute and Ottar Magnus Karlsson replacing Bubacarr Jobe in the 86th minute. GAIS received one final yellow card in the 87th minute when Milos Andelkovic picked up a card.

The match ended 2-0 in favor of Mjällby AIF, as they held onto their first goal and scored a penalty to secure the victory. GAIS fought hard but unfortunately could not catch up.
