In a somewhat cautious start to the match at Påskbergsvallen between Varbergs BoIS FC and Östers IF, it was the visiting Östers who created the first big chance. After a nice through ball from Johannesson, Keene found space, but goalkeeper Dahlin was alert and saved the shot without any problems.

Not much happened after that, and the visitors struggled to create dangerous opportunities. In the second half, the match picked up a bit, and after a fine individual effort from Östers substitute Kapcevic, it seemed like the goal drought would come to an end. However, his shot veered just outside the goal frame.

The match continued in the same trend with solid defensive play from both teams, which, however, led to fewer scoring chances. This did not stop Varberg from trying to take the lead, but unfortunately, most of their shots were blocked by Östers' defenders.
