On Sunday evening, Halmstad met Trelleborgs FF at Örjans Vall in the Superettan. In front of an audience of 1,665, the match started with Farouk Nehdi as the referee and Anders Böwing and Julia Magnusson Sandkvist as assistant referees.

The match began with a tough contest between the teams, and already after eleven minutes, Halmstad received their first yellow card when Malkolm Nilsson Säfqvist was booked. Trelleborgs FF’s Isak Jönsson also received a warning after 17 minutes. However, it was Halmstad that took the lead after 25 minutes when Alexander Berntsson scored with a header, assisted by Joel Allansson.

Halmstad continued to dominate the match, and Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul made it 2-0 just before halftime, assisted by Mikael Boman. Dusan Djuric received a booking for Halmstad after 31 minutes.

The second half continued with an intense battle, and Joel Allansson received a yellow card for Halmstad after 50 minutes. A little later, after 69 minutes, Halmstad made a substitution as Sadat Karim replaced Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul. Erik Ahlstrand also went off, replaced by Jonathan Svedberg for Halmstad.

Trelleborgs FF also made substitutions, with Henrik Johansson replacing Oscar Johansson Schellhas after 70 minutes. Isak Jönsson went off and was replaced by Jakob Glasberg after 77 minutes. But even these substitutions did not help Trelleborgs FF, and Halmstad continued to dominate the match.

Ultimately, it was Joel Allansson who put the finishing touch on the game with his goal after 82 minutes, assisted by Sadat Karim. Mikael Boman was also substituted for Halmstad after 85 minutes, with Andreas Hadenius coming on for him.

The match ended 3-0 in favor of Halmstad, placing them in 9th position in the table while Trelleborgs FF sits in 11th place. A strong performance by Halmstad showed that they still have what it takes to continue competing in Superettan.
