Mjällby AIF secured victory in an impressive performance away against Trelleborgs FF. The match started with a high tempo from both teams, but already in the 5th minute, it was Joel Nilsson who put Mjällby in the lead after a nice assist from Jesper Gustavsson. Trelleborg's attempts to get back into the game were complicated by an early yellow card for Andreas Beck Larsen. In the 26th minute, Jesper Gustavsson extended Mjällby’s lead after another assist from Joel Nilsson. Just four minutes later, Jesper Löfgren scored the 0-3 goal with a beautiful header following a great corner from David Löfquist.

Trelleborg desperately tried to regain control of the match, but Mjällby’s defense held firm. Trelleborg had a few chances but missed each time. In the 43rd minute, Trelleborg made their first substitution when Niklas Bröndsted Vesterlund came on for Oscar Johansson Schellhas. In the second half, Trelleborg created several new chances, but they could not break through Mjällby’s defense. In the 58th minute, Trelleborg made their second substitution when Dennis Agyare Antwi came on for Erik Andersson. Mjällby continued to defend well, and Mjällby’s Adi Terzic received a yellow card in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Mjällby made their first substitution when Charbel Georges came on for Erik Pärsson.

Trelleborg’s frustration grew, and Dennis Agyare Antwi received a yellow card in the 69th minute. Joel Nilsson from Mjällby also got a yellow card in the 71st minute. Trelleborg made their final substitution in the 73rd minute when Zoran Jovanovic came on for Abdul Fatawu Safiu. Mjällby made two substitutions almost simultaneously in the 77th minute. Taylor Silverholt came on for Bubacarr Jobe and Mirza Halvadzic came on for Jesper Gustavsson in the 82nd minute. Mjällby AIF maintained their 3-0 lead until the final whistle and took home three points from Trelleborg. A very strong performance by Mjällby AIF.
