Halmstad and Varbergs BoIS FC met on an exciting Sunday afternoon at Örjans Vall in front of 4,689 spectators. The match had a tough start with several hard tackles, and already in the ninth minute, Varberg's Albert Ejupi received a warning from referee Robert Daradic.

After 35 minutes, Halmstad had a brilliant start when Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul scored the first goal of the match, assisted by Thomas Boakye. The match remained intense, and just minutes later, Anton Liljenbäck from Varberg received a warning.

Just before halftime, Wiedesheim-Paul scored his second goal of the match, this time from a penalty kick, which increased Halmstad's lead to 2-0 at the break. But BoIS FC did not give up, and just a few minutes into the second half, Adama Fofana scored a goal for the visiting team, assisted by Astrit Selmani.

Robin Book from Varberg also received a warning, and only a few minutes later, Halmstad extended their lead again when Dusan Djuric scored, assisted by Erik Ahlstrand.

Andreas Bengtsson received a warning, and Halmstad made a substitution, with Mikael Boman going off for Sadat Karim. Varberg tried to put pressure on Halmstad and made two substitutions, bringing off both Albert Ejupi and Anton Liljenbäck for Nahom Girmai Netabay and Daniel Krezic.

Sadat Karim received a warning, and Halmstad made another substitution, with Erik Ahlstrand being replaced by Jonathan Svedberg. Jesper Modig from Varberg also received a warning before Alexander Berntsson from Halmstad was shown one as well.

In the 79th minute, Nahom Girmai Netabay gave Varberg a glimmer of hope for a point when he scored from a penalty after a handball. Halmstad made two substitutions, with Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul being replaced by Andreas Hadenius and Adama Fofana being substituted by Sebastian Möller for Varberg.

The match ended 3-2 in favor of Halmstad, who secured three important points at home in front of their fans at Örjans Vall.
