It was a sunny Sunday evening at Borås Arena when Norrby IF faced Trelleborgs FF in the Superettan. The attendance was a modest 218 spectators when the referee Patrick Andersén from Denmark blew the whistle to start the match.
It was the home team Norrby IF that took the lead after just 15 minutes of play. Robin Strömberg sent the ball into the net following a nice pass from Dijan Vukojevic. Norrby continued to dominate the game and just before halftime, they extended their lead to 2-0 with a fine goal from Vukojevic, this time assisted by Abdelrahman Boudah Saidi.
In the second half, Norrby made a substitution as Richard Yarsuvat replaced goalscorer Strömberg. Trelleborg tried to claw their way back into the match by making a substitution and creating some dangerous chances. However, Norrby held firm in defense, and Yarsuvat received a yellow card for breaking up a counter-attack from the opponents.
In the 70th minute, Norrby sealed the victory when Vukojevic scored his second goal of the evening, this time assisted by Mergim Krasniqi. Trelleborg made a last attempt to reduce the deficit by making a substitution, but it was Norrby who increased their lead instead. Alexander Henningsson scored the fourth goal after a nice pass from Vukojevic, who thus had three assists during the evening.
The final moments of the match saw a yellow card issued to Trelleborg's Abdul Fatawu Safiu and a substitution where Haris Brkic replaced Safiu. The referee then blew the final whistle, allowing Norrby IF to celebrate a convincing 4-0 victory in front of their home crowd.
