Match report:

GIF Sundsvall hosted Umeå FC at NP3 Arena in front of empty stands on a Tuesday evening in Superettan. Referee Patrik Eriksson officiated the match, assisted by linesmen Fredrik Hammarström and Martin Palm.

Already in the third minute, GIF Sundsvall's Juan José Ciercoles Sagra received a yellow card. However, it was Umeå FC that took the lead in the 35th minute through Bajram Ajeti, assisted by Deniz Yaldir. GIF Sundsvall, however, fought back and equalized before halftime when Albin Palmlöv scored, assisted by Oliver Berg, in the 40th minute. Just a minute later, Sundsvall took the lead when Pontus Engblom headed in a goal to make it 2-1, assisted by Johan Blomberg.

In the 65th minute, GIF Sundsvall extended their lead when Pontus Engblom scored his second goal of the match, once again assisted by Johan Blomberg. Umeå FC tried to apply pressure and made several substitutions but were unable to recover. Both Sundsvall and Umeå received several yellow cards throughout the match.

The match ended 3-1 in favor of GIF Sundsvall after a strong performance from the team, and especially from Pontus Engblom who scored two of the goals.
