In a goal-rich match at Stora Valla, Degerfors IF achieved a decisive 4-1 victory against visiting IK Brage in Superettan. Already after 10 minutes, the home team took the lead through Villiam Dahlström, assisted by Axel Lindahl. Degerfors then extended their lead with a header from Johan Bertilsson after a nice pass from Victor Edvardsen in the 20th minute. Edvardsen was later rewarded for his outstanding performance when he scored the third goal in the 28th minute, assisted by the goalscorer Dahlström.

IK Brage managed to reduce the deficit to 3-1 when Leonard Pllana put the ball in the net just before halftime. However, Degerfors came back strongly in the second half, and when Edvardsen scored his second goal of the evening from a penalty in the 67th minute, the score stood at 4-1 for the home team.

Both Degerfors and IK Brage made several substitutions in the second half, but neither team could change the result. Thus, Degerfors secured an important victory that puts them at the top of the table after six rounds. Meanwhile, IK Brage continues their difficult start to the season, remaining without points and sitting at the bottom of the table.
