It was an exciting match at Gamla Ullevi when GAIS faced off against Akropolis IF in Superettan. GAIS, positioned 11th in the table, was up against Akropolis IF, who were in 5th place. The match was held in a fan-friendly arena and was officiated by Robert Daradic, with assistance from Joakim Wik and Victor Jensen.

The match started with high intensity from both teams, and after 12 minutes, GAIS had their chance to take the lead when Julius Lindberg skillfully put the ball in the net, giving GAIS a 1-0 lead. Akropolis IF immediately tried to put pressure on GAIS, but the home team held firm and maintained their lead until half-time.

In the second half, Akropolis IF continued to press, and after a few dangerous goal opportunities, Cesar Weilid received a yellow card in the 55th minute. GAIS responded with a yellow card for Adnan Maric after some tough tackles. Akropolis IF eventually got a well-deserved reward when Marcus Burman scored after an assist from Mattias Bouvin, leveling the match at 1-1.

Both teams continued to battle, and substitutions were made on both sides in an effort to break the deadlock, but no further goals were scored. GAIS brought on Mervan Celik in place of Haris Cirak and Julius Johansson instead of Julius Lindberg, while Akropolis IF substituted in Andrew Michael Stadler and Mattias Bouvin for Victor Söderström and Adhavan Rajamohan. Later, Oscar Pettersson was replaced by Lamine Nekrouf.

After 88 minutes, Meinhard Egilsson Olsen received a yellow card, and shortly after, he was substituted for Jesper Brandt on the GAIS side. Linus Mattsson came on for Marcus Burman on the Akropolis IF side in the final minute of regular time. During stoppage time, Mervan Celik received a yellow card for GAIS, but the match ended 1-1.

GAIS fought hard and earned a much-needed point, while Akropolis IF at least managed to maintain their 5th place in the table. It was a closely contested match that provided excitement for those following along on digital platforms.
