On Sunday, an exciting match took place between IK Brage and Athletic Eskilstuna at Borlänge Energi Arena in front of an empty stand. Referee Farouk Nehdi officiated the match, assisted by Fredrik Hammarström and Anton Sjöberg.
After fourteen minutes of play in the first half, Athletic Eskilstuna took the lead through Chidi Dauda Omeje, who was assisted by Wilhelm Loeper. Due to a hard tackle, Loeper received a yellow card from Nehdi thirty-seven minutes into the match. However, just four minutes after halftime, IK Brage managed to equalize with a penalty that Douglas Karlberg scored.
But after barely an hour of play, Athletic Eskilstuna retook the lead through Onyedikachukwu Samuel Nnamani. A few minutes later, both teams made player substitutions, with Viktor Götesson entering Athletic Eskilstuna's lineup. Götesson would go on to provide an additional goal for the visitors with an assist from Loeper. With less than five minutes remaining, IK Brage substituted in two new players but could not do anything further to catch up. The match therefore ended 1 - 3 in favor of the visitors.
The second half was marked by several yellow cards for both teams. André Kamp received a yellow card for IK Brage, while Ryan Anthony Williams and Viktor Götesson received yellow cards for Athletic Eskilstuna. IK Brage's Oscar Lundin was sent off with a red card eight minutes before full time.
With this result, IK Brage remains in eighth place in the Superettan table, while Athletic Eskilstuna now occupies the tenth position.
