The match between Trelleborgs FF and Halmstad at Vångavallen started with an early goal for the visiting team, as Emil Tot Wikström scored from the penalty spot in the seventh minute. Trelleborg quickly responded and equalized through Fredrik Liverstam, assisted by Anton Tideman, just two minutes later.

However, Halmstad regained the lead in the 20th minute when Mikael Boman found the net after a nice pass from Thomas Boakye. Emil Tot Wikström then extended the lead with his second goal of the match in the 23rd minute.

Trelleborg struggled to get back into the game, and Halmstad further increased their lead through Sadat Karim, assisted by Jonathan Svedberg, in the 34th minute. The score remained unchanged at halftime, despite a number of substitutions from both teams.

In the second half, Trelleborg managed to reduce the deficit through Mattias Håkansson in the 70th minute, assisted by Måns Söderqvist. Despite a couple of yellow cards and a missed penalty from Halmstad towards the end of the match, the home team could not get any closer, and the match ended 2-4 in favor of the visiting team.

With this victory, Halmstad secured their position at the top of the league table and won the Superettan for the season. Trelleborgs FF finished the season in 13th place in the table.
