GAIS secured a dominant victory at home at Gamla Ullevi, winning 2-0 against Vasalund. It took only two minutes for the home team to take the lead through Julius Lindberg, following an assist from Jonas Lindberg. GAIS continued to press, and in the 18th minute they doubled their lead thanks to August Wängberg, who was assisted by Adam Egnell.

Vasalund attempted to get back into the game and had chances, but the GAIS defense and their goalkeeper stood firm. In the second half, Vasalund made two substitutions, while GAIS made three. GAIS remained solid in defense and tried to play on the counter and for penalties towards the end, but Vasalund managed to deny a penalty kick from Julius Lindberg.

In the end, GAIS won the match 2-0 and took three much-needed points in Superettan. With an attendance record of 1,315 cheering them on, GAIS could celebrate yet another important victory, while Vasalund goes back to the drawing board to find their next solution.
