On Thursday evening, IFK Värnamo and Jönköpings Södra IF faced off at Finnvedsvallen in an exciting match in Superettan. In front of a crowd of 1,140 and under the direction of referee Joakim Östling, the teams started the match with full energy.

During the first half, the play was relatively even with chances for both teams to score, resulting in a scoreless game. However, in the 31st minute, Jönköpings Södra IF made a substitution, bringing in Perparim Beqaj to replace Robin Book in an effort to improve the team's chances. With only ten minutes left in the match, Jönköpings Södra IF made two substitutions in an attempt to change the result. Enock Kwakwa replaced Daniel Ljung, and Elias Nordström came on for Daniel Strandsäter. However, it didn’t help much, as just a few minutes later, Wenderson Oliveira do Nascimento was substituted for Charlie Vindehall for IFK Värnamo.

In the final minute of regular time, Edvin Becirovic scored a fantastic goal with an assist from Francis de Vries, sealing the final score at 2-0 for IFK Värnamo in an entertaining match that ended with a deserving winner.
