GAIS advances in the table after a clear 4-1 victory over IK Brage at Borlänge Energi Arena in Superettan. Daniel Sterner opened the scoring for the away team in the 29th minute with a beautiful header from a fine corner kick from the right side. GAIS extended their lead with a penalty taken by Adam Egnell in the 36th minute after a Brage defender fouled a GAIS player in the penalty area.

Mattias Liljestrand gave the home team some hope six minutes before halftime when he reduced the score to 1-2 with a fine pass from Robbin Sellin. However, GAIS increased their lead in the second half, again through a nice goal by Egnell with an assist from Viktor Alexandersson in the 52nd minute. Egnell completed his hat trick by scoring a penalty after a foul in the penalty area, thus finalizing the match with a score of 1-4.

Yellow cards were abundant for Brage players during the match, including two for Liljestrand. GAIS's Julius Lindberg also received a warning in the 51st minute, as did Bjarni Mark Antonsson and Axel Sjöberg from the home team. GAIS made three substitutions during the match, while Brage made four, but none of the substitutions had a significant impact.

The match attracted 919 spectators and was officiated by head referee Fredrik Oppong with assistance from Niklas Alfredsson and Conny Hugman. GAIS is now in fourth place in the table and has one match in hand, while Brage continues to struggle at the bottom of the table.
