It was a battle between the two bottom teams in Superettan as Falkenbergs FF hosted IK Brage at Falcon Alkoholfri Arena on Saturday afternoon. Despite an uneven season, both teams wanted to secure a victory in their final match to improve their position in the table.
The match started evenly, with both teams trying to gain control. However, it was IK Brage who scored the first goal in the 52nd minute when Robbin Sellin netted the ball following a pass from Leonard Pllana. Falkenberg responded with Adam Bergmark Wiberg, who scored a penalty in the 77th minute after a foul in the penalty area by IK Brage. Time ran out for the hosts, and IK Brage won the match 2-1 after a thrilling second half.
With that, the southern Superettan concludes for 2021, and Falkenbergs FF remains in last place, while IK Brage finishes the season in 10th position in the table.
