An exciting match between GAIS and GIF Sundsvall was played at Gamla Ullevi in front of 650 spectators on Saturday afternoon. GAIS, who were in 14th place in the table, faced a tough opponent in league leaders GIF Sundsvall. However, it was GAIS who started the match strongest and took the lead with 1-0 in the 41st minute through Simon Alexandersson, assisted by Joackim Åberg. GAIS then received a warning for Niklas Andersen, before GIF Sundsvall's Alexander Blomqvist also received a yellow card just before halftime.

At halftime, a few players were substituted in and out from both teams. GAIS brought on Nikola Ladan, Johan Andersson, and Michael Kargbo, while GIF Sundsvall introduced Linus Hallenius and Alexander Larsson. These changes turned out to lift GIF Sundsvall, who managed to equalize in the 48th minute through Hallenius, with an assist from Pontus Silfwer.

But GAIS did not give up and continued to fight, managing to take the lead again thanks to Alexandersson, who scored his second goal, assisted by Michael Kargbo, in the 58th minute. GAIS then substituted Alexandersson for Richard Yarsuvat, and GIF Sundsvall also made a few changes with Alexander Larsson, Ludvig Nåvik, and Albin Palmlöv coming on.

GIF Sundsvall desperately tried to equalize, but they struggled to find the net. Instead, Daniel Stensson received a yellow card in the 67th minute. GAIS then brought on Filip Örnblom and substituted Julius Lindberg in the 78th minute. GIF Sundsvall tried again by bringing in Gray Hoffman in the 87th minute, but it was unsuccessful for them. The match ended with GAIS victorious at 2-1, allowing them to finish the season in 14th place in the table, while GIF Sundsvall finished in 2nd place.
