A header from Filip Schyberg resulted in an early lead for the away team. The assist came from Elmar Abraham, and Skövde AIK thus had a dream start.

Östersund, however, did not let this setback get to them and fought their way back into the match. In the 38th minute, the team's efforts were rewarded when Chovanie Shakur Amatkarijo equalized to 1-1. The assist came from Henrik Bellman, and the match was once again wide open heading into the second half.

After the break, the match continued at the same intensity. Östersund demonstrated strength and took the lead in the 50th minute through Nikolaos Dosis, assisted by Chovanie Shakur Amatkarijo. The home crowd cheered, and it seemed that Östersund was on their way to victory.

However, Skövde AIK did not give up, and in the 64th minute they equalized again after a fine combination between Jack Cooper-Love and Linus Mattsson. The match had taken another turn, and both teams continued to create chances going forward.

In the 78th minute, Östersund opted to make a change, bringing Uche Great Sabastine onto the field in place of Jordan Attah Kadiri. Skövde AIK responded with their first substitution in the 83rd minute when David Frisk replaced Linus Mattsson.

However, it was Skövde AIK who showed to be the sharpest in the final minutes of the match. In the 93rd minute, Elmar Abraham managed to score 2-3 after a corner, and Östersund had little time left to mount a comeback.

In the 93rd minute, Östersund’s Aly Keita also received a yellow card. Despite a final push from the home team, Skövde AIK managed to hold on and win the match 2-3.
