The intense encounter between Trelleborgs FF and Halmstad took place at Vångavallen, Trelleborg's main field, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 1,720 spectators. Referee Richard Sundell officiated the match, assisted by linesmen Mirza Rovcanin and Robert Nyberg.
Before the match, Trelleborgs FF was sitting in third place in the standings, while Halmstad was in fine form with three consecutive victories and a leading position in the table. Expectations were high, and the crowd was eager.
