Östers IF faced Utsikten in an exciting match in Superettan on Thursday evening. The match was played at Visma Arena in Växjö in front of an audience of 2,310 people. The referee was Farouk Nehdi, assisted by Henrik Melin and Alexander Milovanovic.
Utsikten entered the match with three consecutive losses and needed a win to turn their form around. However, it was Östers IF that started the match the better and took the lead in the 16th minute. Adam Bergmark Wiberg scored the goal, his sixth of the season, after an assist from Vladimir Rodic.
Utsikten showed that they did not want to back down without a fight, and in the 35th minute, they equalized. Jakob Hedenquist became the goalscorer, his third of the season, with a header that bounced into the net. The assist was provided by Predrag Randelovic.
But Östers IF would not be easily defeated. In the 40th minute, they regained the lead through Alex Thor Hauksson, following an assist from Adam Bergmark Wiberg.
At halftime, Utsikten made a substitution, bringing on Mattias Bouvin for Albin Skoglund. However, it was Östers IF that continued to dominate. In the 52nd minute, they increased their lead to 3-1 with Adam Bergmark Wiberg's second goal of the evening. Dzenis Kozica provided the assist.
Utsikten tried to make a couple of substitutions to change the course of the match but were unable to make a comeback. Instead, they suffered two yellow cards and a red card towards the end of the match. Marvin José Anieboh Pallaruelo received his second yellow card and was sent off in the 85th minute.
Despite several warnings and a hectic finish to the match, the score remained 3-1 in favor of Östers IF. The match was an important victory for Östers IF, while Utsikten found themselves without any points once again.
