At Gavlevallen, Gefle IF FF faced Skövde AIK in an intense match that ended 4-1 in favor of the home team. It was Skövde AIK that started the strongest and took the lead as early as the thirteenth minute when Mikael Mörk scored after a pass from Darrell Kamdem Tibell.

However, Gefle IF FF responded quickly, and just three minutes later, Oscar Lundin equalized after a fine setup by Christoffer Aspgren. It didn't take long for the home team to take the lead either; just six minutes later, Aldin Basic scored a goal that was accidentally deflected into the net by Skövde's defenders.

Skövde AIK tried to pressure Gefle IF FF but failed to create enough dangerous scoring opportunities. Instead, it was Gefle IF FF that extended their lead in the 55th minute when York Rafael scored after a nice pass from Leo Englund. Two minutes later, it was time again as Constantino Capotondi increased the lead to 4-1 after receiving the ball from Christoffer Aspgren.

Skövde AIK tried to keep fighting but couldn't manage a comeback. Instead, it became a secure victory for Gefle IF FF, who were able to relax at the end of the match and substitute several players to freshen up the squad. Skövde AIK ultimately also received a red card when Oscar Lennerskog picked up two yellow cards during the match. A victory that hopefully can give Gefle IF FF a real boost in Superettan.
