Östers IF hosted Västerås SK FK at home in front of nearly 10,000 spectators at the Visma Arena in Växjö. Referee Richard Sundell brought along assistant referees Joakim Wik and Josef Alacam to officiate the match.

It was a close match where both teams created chances during the first half. However, it was Västerås SK FK that took the lead through Max Larsson in the 30th minute, assisted by Ibrahim Yalatif Diabate. The warning that Herman Magnusson received in the 40th minute was the first of the match.

Västerås SK FK extended their lead to 2-0 at the beginning of the second half when Ibrahim Yalatif Diabate scored his second goal of the evening, assisted by Simon Johansson. Östers IF quickly responded and reduced the score to 2-1 when Niklas Söderberg scored from a pass by Theodor Johansson.

In the 64th minute, Västerås SK FK’s manager Kalle Karlsson received a warning, and both teams made substitutions in the 72nd and 73rd minutes. After a while, Östers IF also received a warning when Månz Berg was cautioned. Later in the match, substitutions were made closely together, and in the 86th minute, Daniel Ljung from Östers IF also received a warning.

The match would become dramatic in the closing stages. Västerås SK FK's Herman Magnusson received a second warning and was sent off in the second minute of stoppage time. Mohammed Mahammed was substituted in for Västerås in the 90th minute. But it was Östers IF that would score the last goal of the match. Miloje Prekovic headed in a ball from a pass by Vladimir Rodic in the sixth minute of stoppage time, salvaging a point for his Östers IF. The match ended 2-2.
